What are the recycling USES of waste copper wires and cables

After the waste electric wires and cables are recovered, the copper wires and insulation layer are stripped. The commonly used treatment methods are as follows:

1. Mechanical separation method: The mechanical separation method can be divided into the roller type peeling machine processing method and the cutting type peeling machine processing method. By means of mechanical separation, copper chips, mixtures and plastic fibers can be obtained, in which copper chips can be directly used as copper refining materials, can also be used as copper sulfate materials, the mixture is then returned to the rotary drum cutter treatment, plastic fibers can be sold as products.

2. Cryogenic freezing method: Cryogenic freezing method is suitable for handling wires and cables of various specifications. The spent wires and cables are firstly chilled to make the insulation layer brittle, and then broken by shock to separate the insulation layer from the copper wire.

3. Chemical stripping method: The chemical stripping method USES an organic solvent to dissolve the insulation layer of the waste wire, so as to separate the copper wire from the insulation layer. The advantage of this method is that it can get high quality copper wire, but the disadvantage is that the solution is more difficult to deal with, and the price of the solvent is higher.

4. Thermal decomposition method: The thermal decomposition method is mainly to shear the waste wire and cable, and then add it to the pyrolysis chamber by the transport feeder. The pyrolytic copper wire is sent to the outlet water seal pool by the grate conveyor, and then put into the product collector; Copper wire can be used as raw material to produce fine copper. The gas generated by pyrolysis can be sent to the combustion chamber to burn off the combustible substances therein, and then sent to the reactor to absorb the chlorine gas with calcium oxide and discharge it. The calcium chloride generated can be used as building materials.
